Save a ChatGPT answer as a PDF without learning Markdown. Click the Copy icon beneath the response and paste it into the editor; if Markdown markers appear, leave them in place because the preview formats them for you. A plain-text prompt is also provided if you prefer to remove formatting first.
How to use
- In ChatGPT, click the Copy icon (two overlapping squares) beneath the response you want to save.
- Paste the copied response into the editor. Markdown symbols such as # and ** are expected and will be formatted in the preview.
- Review the preview, select Print / Save PDF, and choose Save as PDF in the print dialog.
How to save a ChatGPT answer as a PDF
- Copy the formatted answer: In ChatGPT, click the Copy icon (two overlapping squares) beneath the response, then paste it into the editor below. If you see Markdown marks such as
#,**, or-, leave them in place. They tell the preview how to format headings, bold text, and lists. - Prefer plain text? Copy the prompt below into ChatGPT, paste the original response after it, and send. Then copy the plain-text reply into the editor. The prompt asks ChatGPT to remove formatting marks without rewriting the answer.

Copy a ChatGPT answer

- The copied answer may contain Markdown markers such as #, **, or -; leave them in place because the preview turns them into headings, bold text, and lists.
- For plain text instead, copy the prompt above the editor, paste it into ChatGPT, add the original response after it, and send. Review the reply before using it, since AI-generated text can still vary.
Preview and save your PDF
Review the formatted preview, then select Print / Save PDF. In the print dialog, choose Save as PDF as the destination. Longer answers may span multiple pages.
